The Best of Turkey Travel Package Duration: 08 Days / 07 Nights Highlights: Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Hierapolis, Cappadocia Departure Dates: Everyday Note: All Turkey travel packages are modular & we can customize these itineraries to accommodate your personal requirements and desires to find your perfect holiday in Turkey. Day 01 Arrival in Istanbul Hosgeldiniz (Welcome to Turkey!). Upon clearing customs and immigration, you will be greeted by our company representative who will arrange for you to be driven to your hotel. Once check-in to your hotel is complete, remainder of day will be at your leisure. Day 02 Imperial Istanbul Tour Your day will commence with the Imperial Istanbul tour, which includes a visit to the ancient Hippodrome; Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, Fountain of Wilhelm II; The Blue Mosque; Hagia Sophia Museum; Grand Bazaar; Topkapi Palace and Rustem Pasha Mosque. After the tour, your guide will arrange for your return to your hotel, leaving you to enjoy evening at your leisure. Day 03 Bosphorus Cruise Tour Breakfast at hotel after which we drive Eminonu port to board the regular city boat for a 2 hour Bosphorous Cruise. Enjoy this relaxing cruise along the shoreline while your guide explains to you the history of sights seen while onboard. We then continue on land to visit the Beylerbeyi Palace and then also visit Camlica Hill. Day 04 Flight to Izmir / Ephesus Tour Check-out from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer to the airport for an early morning flight to Izmir. Arrive at Izmir airport and depart for a full day tour of Ephesus and Virgin Mary's House. Firstly, we visit the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then proceed to the ancient city of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey. Of course, not to be forgotten is the House of the Virgin Mary on top of Bulbul Mountain, a pilgrimage site for many people of all denominations. Day 05 Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour / Travel to Cappadocia After check-out, drive to Pamukkale, visiting; Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis with the Temple of Apollo, the breathtaking theater, the fascinating necropolis and the last the great baths of Hierapolis antique city, where St. Philip was martyred. St. Philip is connected with the early church in Hierapolis and played an important role in Pamukkale the history of the city. Finally we visit the calcium terraces and pools. After tour overnight bus to Cappadocia with non smoking, fully air-conditioned bus at 21:00 or 22:00. (duration 10 hours) Day 06 North Cappadocia Tour Arrival in Cappadocia and transfer to hotel to fresh up before start tour. Then depart from your hotel to visit Devrent Valley to see the unigue fairy-chimneys. Drive to Paşabag (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles.Drive to the city of Avanos for lunch.In the afternoon visit another beautiful open air museum at Göreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Lastly, before returning to your hotel, visit the natural castles at Uchisar. Day 07 South Cappadocia Tour / Flight to Istanbul Check-out and depart from your hotel to visit Red valley,and explore the famous rock- cut churches and hike 5 km through the Gulludere valley (Rose valley). Then visit Cavusin village, which is famous for the houses and churches of the christian clegymen. Then drive to the pigeon valley for lunch break. In the afternoon visit Kaymaklı underground city where early christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit the natural castles at Ortahisar. After the tour, transfer to Kayseri airport for the fight to Istanbul. Day 08 Transfer to Istanbul International Airport After you have checked-out from hotel, we will arrange for the transfer to Istanbul International Airport for your return or onward flight.
